Got moved in to my place this week. Now need to find some things to do, places to hang out at. Anyone know of some places for a single early 30's guy, preferably on the south side of Fairmont, around Kingmont or White Hall?
Also, what's with all the "hotspots?"

Not sure what to do in Fairmont these days, but it's only a 15 minute drive to Morgantown and there's always lots to do there.

Go to Morgantown lots of fun
the reason there is so many Hotspots is because our state government lets them spawn up so that the can tax the crap out of them.

I got a chuckle from the thread title - kind of like "snowcones in hell"
Follow the advice - go to Morgantown

Ok, point me in the right direction, some idea on places in Morgantown.
Also, what's up with all the "High Life Lounges" in Fairmont?

They're all places to prey on the poor and coerce them into blowing their meager paycheck on gambling. When I started at WVU in 2001 there were only a handful. When I graduated, I think there were something like 150+ hot spots or lounges within town limits. Sad Sad Sad..
But from what I understand, all the Fairmont partiers do go to Motown. I even knew people that would drive up from Salem and then drive back (scary!) after nights out on the town.

There is a Buffalo Wild Wings just south of you at the Jerry Dove Drive exit if you like BWW.

It's frustrating. You can go to a nice restaurant , have a few drinks, and all the sudden its 9 and the doors are being locked. It seems like the town is shut down at 9.
