I was born there but moved in 1963, but visit to see family. It is a small town, but has a good selection of stores, restaurants and hotels due to the Interstate. The downtown area has declined for the last couple decades, but some people are trying to revive it. The people are mostly good and friendly, but there are also some druggies. There is a university near by, good scenary and recreational facilities.

I recommend that you visit the area for a few days.
