I'm looking for a farm to rent in MD, VA, or WV. My family and I are currently renting a farm near Frederick, Maryland and our landlord told us last night that he decided not to rent anymore and we have to leave by April.

We currently have 17 horses but might be down to 13, so we're looking for a farm with 15+ acres, we would like to have fencing already up and a barn or a couple of run in sheds and has a creek or water at the barn. Barn/Run in sheds not required, we could build our own if allowed.

Our price range is $100-1000.

We really need to find a farm soon so if you have a farm for rent that would fit our needs or know someone who does, please e-mail me! Thanks, Lisa

Prices for rental places with horses are high up here and hard to come by because of the race track. I will keep my eyes open though.

How high are they usually? We're not even necessarily looking for our own place, just if someone would rent us out 15-20 acres(or a couple pastures) we would be happy. Just anywhere, even temporarily, to put our horses would make us happy. Thanks for keeping your eyes open for us though!

I really don't think 1,000 a month would get close. Horse trainers looking for good fenced pasture has driven the prices up. Their are 1,500 horses on the backside at CT and probably another 1,000 around the area on farms.

Their are places that will board your horses but sounds like you want to do that for others too.

Contact a couple local realtors and see what they say.
