Would like to move to area for retirement! Is hospital good for heart patients? Hunting/fishing? Walmart!?!

Looks beautiful! Love mountains and water! Involved in dog rescue.

Calhoun county does not have much to offer! It is nothing but logging, and some farms. It is beautiful, but the closest "real town" is Spencer which is in Roane County.

If your looking to have a simple, rural life then this could work, but there is a bunch of options for your criteria in this State hope this helps

If you need heart care in a hurry, Calhoun is not the place to be. You need to be close to Charleston, Huntington, or Morgantown. You can find plenty of hunting/fishing/Wal-Mart closer to these so you can reach your cardiac care provider quickly. Just my opinion.

Hunting/Fishing No problem. Deer, Bear, Turkey, Musky, Bass.. the usual

Walmart- in Spencer and Parkersburg

If you get serious about Calhoun, you might read this article, maybe pay them a visit, and browsing the website might give you some insight on the area also. Selected quotes:
