I've been searching public schools for employment opportunities as a teacher. Pretty tough as I thought it would be. As head of my family, salary is an important aspect of the job. Because of this I have not looked too seriously at the thought of private schools. Where I teach currently, jobs in private schools are far lower in pay than my current position in a public school.
I need to open the door to all possibilities to get my family moved out of northern California and into West Virginia.
How are pay and employment prospects for elementary/middle school teachers in West Virginia?
From what I've heard, pay at private schools here in WV is less than that of public school due to the more limited resources. I've never researched it for myself though. Here are the private schools in the Huntington area if you want to contact them. Hope this helps.
