Just moved to Falling Waters, WV (Brookfield Subdivision) and was wondering what the average electric bill in this area was for summer and winter. We have an electric heat pump and an electric heat pump water heater. We purchased a 2300 sq ft townhouse (end unit) . Currently only 2 people living in the house.

Thanks in advance!

It's going to vary pretty widely based on home size, how well it's insulated, and whether you heat with electricity or some other method.

I'm in Inwood, home size is similar but it's a singe-family home that's 25 years old, I've upgraded windows and added insulation, and I heat with wood. Electricity runs 80-120 per month but I'm on the "average" plan so my summer AC usage gets spread out throughout the year.

I live in a townhouse in Martinsburg, Wv. 1200 sq ft with 2 people and a dog. I set my heat 69 in the winter time and turn it down to 67 at night. In the summer, my AC comes on 78, but at night I set it at 75 so I can sleep well. I have installed all of those new type of light bulbs. My bill is on the Average plan at 86 a month.

All I can say as a customer of Potomac Edison/First Energy for over 2 years is READ YOUR METER EVERY MONTH AND CALL/ENTER IN THE READING ON THE EXACT DATE MENTIONED ON THE BACK OF THE PREVIOUS MONTH'S BILL. This will avoid an "estimated" reading by the company which will probably be too high for your usage.
