This probably ranks right up there with the Olive Garden and Five Guy Burger posts, but Cheddar's is about to open it's 3rd West Virginia restaurant, this one in Vienna. They serve great food at reasonable prices, much better food than at either Applebee's or Ruby Tuesday in my opinion. I know we always have to wait for a table in Wheeling & Morgantown. As much as people like to eat out around here, I'm sure it will do great.

You mean to tell me that they are opening a Cheddar's in both Parkersburg and Beckley and not in our area? This is a sad day for the city of Charleston, and the fine people of the Kanawha Valley!

As they were constructing this I thought that was a huge parking lot but I drove by there Sat night and it was totally packed and a huge line outside.

I will probably wait a month for the lines to die down. I hope it is good.

Do they serve breakfast? We need a Denny's, Ihop or something that does a decent breakfast on that strip.

First I heard of Cheddar's coming to Beckley too. That's good news for Beckley.

It is a Applebee's/Ruby Tuesday's type place, but in my opinion better food and prices. Their onion rings are fantastic. They also have a nice sports bar.

We're also getting an olive Garden and something else that are all going in the Raleigh Mall redevelopment. TBH though, its just another couple of restaurants that are all vying for the same market-space, nothing too special.

And you're right, we could use a Denny's or Ihop on Grand Central, or even another Cracker Barrel. Mineral Wells isn't convenient to most, especially to Vienna or north Pakersburg residents. I've even written Starbucks to see if they have any interest in Vienna. One would fit in nicely and do well somewhere along the strip.

I would have preferred a Denny's. I wish I could get a Grand Slam breakfast without driving an hour.
