To 1 gallon of water add 1 teaspoon of clorox......put in a spray bottle and spray the bud and the blooms. Once a week only.

OK. Roses. If Hybrid Tea - which means they're pretty - they don't grow in the wild. So. What is your regimen? How many days between applications of appropriate fungicide? Between appropriate pesticide? How many days apart do you apply the correct fertilizer? (for your soil - when you had the soil tested last fall (for free) by the extension agency). Roses are far from "put 'em in the dirt and they'll be fine." Black spots = fungus. Umungus. (sorry) Roses are difficult to grow, and extremely difficult to grow well.

My mom grows championship roses. Her rose beds were turned to three feet in depth, and a dozen soil additives were added (peat moss, Epsom salts, lime, etc.). Worked on every day.

How about some pics of your moms roses?? Love to see them!

I dont have a Regiment. These roses were planted by another tenant 16 yrs ago [guessing] I moved here 7 months ago. I clipped the dead branches & flowers off in November. But basicly they are on their own. Few weeks ago I saw the Black Spots & told the LL ... no response tho they have landscapers her weekly to mow & they mulched & planed flowers last week Nothing was done to the roses. I mention it again to her she said IF I didnt want to take care of them they would be dug up & put in the Dumpster!!

I am willing to try the bleach once a week but thats about all I can do since I disabled & also have limited income. IF you have any other ways to treat Black Spot let me know.
