WHAG NBC 25 and WRNR 740 AM announced on their newscasts last week that the DMV was closing to move to the new location. I think the Martinsburg Journal even had an article on the move.

Jefferson County location would be open to serve those in the Martinsburg area.

They closed the Parkersburg one with no warning with no plans of where they were going to re-open. I don't recall how long they were closed but it was much longer than a week and a half.

One would think they might have learned from all the poor publicity they got here. I guess not.

Since when did the DMV care what people thought of them?

The DMV is way behind the times, to me you should be able to do everything from home just like everything else. You have to bring in this do that, get these things streamlined, why do I have to prove I paid my taxes, again should be streamlined like everything else.

This explains why the line of cars was backed up into Edwin Miller Blvd on Saturday morning. I had no idea they were even moving...
