Yes, this may be somewhat of a pointless post; nonetheless, I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I won't be back to this site until after the holidays, but I feel that I have made some "Internet friendships" on this board and wanted to pass along my appreciation.
Merry Christmas to all! Be careful getting wherever you are going because even though it sounds lke Christmas will be warm, the bad weather is out in full force tonight.
Speaking of the weather... Red Alert, Red Alert - the snow is missing. Has anyone seen where it has gone?
We drove up to Canaan Valley today and there is not a patch of snow on the ground anywhere on the way up here from Chas. No snow on the ground here either (not including the ski slopes - there is some snow on the slopes at Canaan and more at Timberline -- evidently only where they have made it).
This is crazy after the early winter and big snowfalls that we have had already this year. It was zero at Canaan on Monday early AM and it was 55 today with bright sunny skies. Between that and the recent rains the snow is gone.
Santa is tired of snow. He wants to enjoy West By God as if fall was still around. And that's enough of a gift for me.
Merry Christmas everybody!
