Default Tenant Announcement

After a long stretch of silence, the brochure has been updated with new tenants.

Ground work has already begun on the building next to Panera Bread. It shows Firehouse Subs...brace yourself...Boost Mobile and a nail salon.

So at least we have one new-to-the-area tenant in this building.

Also worth noting, it appears the spaces next to Party City have been combined...but that could just be for spec.

Hearing that Crossroads backed out of buying the theater... Would love AMC or some other theater to pruchase it and put it back to work...

That would be great.

If not, I would love to see an indoor recreation center like Skyzone take it over. If I had the money and resources, I'd invest in creating a place with a mix of indoor rock walls, laser tag, escape rooms, trampolines, etc.

Area youth desperately need more things to do.

Hard to believe there isn’t a Skyzone already in the Winchester, Martinsburg, Hagerstown corridor. I would think it would be instant bank.

Again Martinsburg being ideally situated between two bigger towns still disappoints as usual. I’ve said this before but in the early 90’s when I was up there it really looked like it was going to be setting up to pull shoppers from both other towns. Then the outlets moved and Winchester boomed.

I think your point will always be the achilles' heel for Martinsburg sadly. New-to-the-region stores/restaurants open in Hagerstown first, skip over the panhandle, open in Winchester...or vice versa.

There are exceptions though. Wing Stop, Blaze Pizza, Panda Express are a few that come to mind.

I think back in the late 80’s to late 90’s Appleblossom Mall actually had a Mall version of PE but that was like version 1.0 and not like PE today but either way it left the mall a long time ago. I can remember living in Winchester and driving to the burg to eat at Outback and Applebee’s, go shop and the Blueridge outlet and see movies at the brand new Marquee all the time complaining that Winchester didn’t have crap. My ole my how times have changed. A lot of folks besides myself back then really thought Martinsburg was going gang busters. And it has really grown but not like how we thought it would.
