danelleke , Thank you so very much for looking after the grave of one of our fallen soldiers. Veterans like me here in America are aware that you wonderful folks in Belgium and Holland do that, and it is deeply moving for us to know that you care and appreciate their sacrifice to continue that tradition.
I am looking into finding male members of the Tharp family in Braxton County, WV and I have found a number of names. I am going to get as much information for you as I possibly can (I live about 100 kilometers from there so it might take just a little time), and I will pass along as much as possible to help you with your search. Here is what I have found to this point:
In the town of Gassaway, there is a John J. Tharp (age not available)
In the town of Sutton I have found the following members of the Tharp family...
Monty Tharp (age 78)
Jesse R. Tharp (age 54)
Worthy Tharp (age not available)
Delta Tharp (age not available)
Check back on here shortly, as I am going to see if any phone numbers for any of these folks are readily available. By the way, congratulations for your excellent mastery of American English.
