Depending on how close to actual city you want to live, I wouldn't overlook the outlying areas either. Mount Olivet is very nice in nearby Marshall County and the schools are very good there. Anywhere near Oglebay Park would be excellent, or along WV 88 in the area between Oglebay Park and the Town of West Liberty. If you don't mind a bit of a drive, the area around Grandview Park outside of Moundsville is also nice, and on the Ohio Side … St. Clairsville is great.
