So, where in Eastern Panhandle do you live, what do you like about it and are you happy with your town and location? IF you are not, where would you move to and why? Have you lived in MD and how does it compare?

This is not me trolling West Virginians because I come from a town in NJ that DEFINITELY leans right and I was uncomfortable, but this poster leans left and can't stand Trump. Should I stay away? Not looking for a fight but if I put up a political sign on my front lawn should I expect negative feedback? It's only one of many reasons I didn't want to stay in my hometown in NJ, so this is not a Yankee obnoxious bait trap. So, please don't think I'm looking to bicker or insulting anyone. Live and let live just means that I too want to live peacefully and have my opinions respected. Thank you in advance.

Well if your town in NJ leans right and makes you uncomfortable enough to move and you can't stand Trump why would you want to move to the state in the country where Trump is the most popular and likely leans more right than the one you're leaving?

I live about 12 miles west of Hedgesville and like it here ok.Its cheap,I can live pretty rural and private and be left alone with nature all around me.

I'm from Maryland, the Wash DC suburbs, and still work there.I wouldn't move back there if someone GAVE me a house and a trust fund to pay the taxes/fees/utilities. But thats me....your results may differ.

Really when you ask how Maryland compares it depends on what part.Other than being generally more expensive there isn't much difference between Md and WV from Hagerstown on west politicly or otherwise.

I don't care if you love or hate Trump...hes going to be around for about 6 more months or 4.5 years and where you live in the USA isn't going to change that.Presidential political yard signs are kind of silly to me but don't bother me,I just don't see the point in advertising to strangers which side i'm rooting for,its not like someone who knows me doesn't know and I doubt strangers care.

West Virginians usually vote Republican for president but Democrats can do just fine when it comes to every other office. Its only within the last 6-10 years that Republicans have become fairly successful.

Maryland population centers are skewed very much to the Democrats and gerrymandering ensures Democrats will generally prevail in most races beyond some local ones.

Why do you think you would want to move here? What about WV appeals to you?

The Blue Ridge, the history and the rivers. It reminds me of what PA used to be like but the hills feel magnetic to me.

Well where I live people tend to leave you alone and mind their own business and most aren't obcessed with politics....its a good place to be if you want to live cheap on a few acres.

Trolling is EXACTLY what you're doing.

Read through the OTHER threads on this forum and you'll find a variety of reasons for people wanting to relocate - better jobs, lower cost of living, nicer climate, less congestion. But, YOU want to relocate so you can put political signs in your yard and express your hatred of Trump?

Ask yourself WHY so many want to escape New Jersey. I hear there are real estate bargains in the Seattle CHOP.

ahaha.... no, but in just a few short weeks since I posted that comment, it's apparent to more people that yes, following the leader in this case is incredibly imprudent.
