I was pretty young when that was operating there. I don't believe it was checkers. I could be wrong, but I think it was Burger Park USA or something like that. Someone else on here might know for sure. There was one in Inwood too.

I believe you are right. I recall Burger Park USA being at that location.

I was really young as well. I thought it was Checkers, but maybe not. Has anyone ever eaten at The Runway over at the airport? I read an article in The Weekender about it, and I know some people who have eaten there and have liked it.

Anyone else dying for a Red Robin around here? I even submitted a suggestion on their website that they should open one in this area.

I've never eaten there, however their commercials have been enticing. I am sure it would do well since a lot of Martinsburg residents seem to want more choices as far as "chain" restaurants go.

P.S. From what I could see yesterday, Ledo Pizza will be occupying the "B" section, next to PetSmart. -mmccul

It was first Rally's aka Checkers then it was Cruiser's in Martinsburg across from Weis Markets but in Inwood it was Burger Park USA which then turned into the Dairy Queen later on.

Thanks for clarifying this Caine! The name Cruiser's does ring a bell now. It's a shame that it didnt last, I like the double drive-thru burger joint concept

They wouldn't miss US.....just our tax money (which must be a sizeable amount). Funny, we send it, but don't get back much of it.

Sally's Beauty Supply has just recently signed a lease at The Commons!

http://planning.berkeleycountycomm.o...oh&dbase=41100

The permit has it listed as "C" as far as location in the center goes.
