You dog license IS Personal Property Tax!! I no clue what that is in my area as my dogs are Service Dogs and are Free!
Maybe so, but Brooke County collects it separately. It is on the same form but you can actually pay it separately from the rest of it. https://brooke.wvassessor.com/forms/...alProperty.pdf I know cause we got new dog tags over a month ago but only paid the rest of this six months this week.

In Kanawha County, the dog tax is paid using a separate form, and has to be paid with a separate check. A number of years ago, I happened to go to the court house to pay my property taxes and turn in the assessor forms. When I wanted to pay the dog tax, they sent me across the hall to a different office where I paid the fee and left with the dog tags.

Ours may have had to be paid separately but since we paid about a month apart, it wasn’t an issue, we did anyway.
The Whole State does that But Dogs are Considered Personal Property!
