Best place to get fresh seafood, Jewel City Seafood in Huntington. They have the best shrimp in there as they only use wild shrimp and it gives them so much more flavor. The trout and salmon are excellent as well but I love to get the calimari. I haven't had a bad meal from there and I've had just about everything. You can get just about anything in there since they are a seafood/meat market as well. They have alligator, quail, buffalo meat, craw fish, etc. all fresh and at good prices.

DK, my wife and I frequent the "Mega" Kroger in Barboursville for their sushi as well. It's nice to be able to shop, pick up some sushi and grab a drink from Starbucks all while picking up some groceries. Try the eel if you haven't yet. It's delicious.

I wish I could get good sushi in the northern panhandle without having to travel to Pittsburgh or Washington PA. It's a shame there's no place in Wheeling (at least that I know of).

I'm spoiled, yep, spoiled for really good shellfish and seafood - I refuse to eat any seafood or shellfish in WV - I save up all my cravings until I get to go to our summer house in downeast Maine - the difference between freshly caught seafood and flash frozen or 1 day old seafood is phenomenol.

The Krogers in Ashton Place (Corridor G) in Charleston also has good sushi. Don't think the other Krogers in the area have it.
