Yes, at the Rockville, MD station (where is where MARC train will drop off your husband) the Montgomery county offers bus service. You can check out this website for particulars. They offer 10 trip tickets and monthly passes relatively cheap!

Default Traffic

Traffic can get heavy especially on the way home (especially where there is a car accident on 340). I leave about 6:45 AM and drop our daughter off at daycare then take the 7:40 (last MARC train) from Brunswick, MD and arrive in Bethesa (After taking METRO) around 9:00. I leave work @ 4:00 pm and arrive home around 6:20 PM. Living here in Huntfiled we can get off @ the Route 9 exit (opposite the Martinsburg) and the traffic is really light in the evening.

From Martinsburg, the houses are much cheaper (we looked at Martinsburg Station before anything was built) but the commute would be LONG for a daily commute!

You can also download google earth (our 7 year old loves it) and you can actually see Aerial pics of the area (any area) or you can use Mapquest as well to see pics of the area!
