American Greetings Corp. is looking for a Part Time Merchandiser in the Oceana/Pineville, WV area.

The Merchandiser is responsible for obtaining schedule and order information for assigned accounts and calling on those accounts in a timely fashion. Through the use of Best Practice techniques, the Merchandiser maintains the greeting card department by reordering merchandise, straightening merchandise on display, putting up or taking down seasonal merchandise, counting carryover and performing other tasks.
1. Plans schedule through obtaining order and scheduled hours from headquarters. Plans work week with supervisor and to time with order arrival. Keeps within designated hours.
2. Contacts store management in a professional/customer-driven manner on every call.
3. Maintains the Card Department by:
a. Reordering stock-controlled merchandise
b. Filling displays with company merchandise
c. Putting orders away (if required)
d. Straightening merchandise
e. Sorting, removing, preparaing credit (as directed by Supervisor) of damaged and soiled merchandise
f. Pricing merchandise (if required)
g. Dusting and cleaning cabinets and merchandise (when necessary)

4. Maintains the Seasonal Department by:
a. Informing the supervisor of any shortages of seasonal merchandise
b. Setting up display per chain guidelines
c. Straightening and filling display
d. Tearing down, inventorying and detroying carryover merchandise for return
e. Being available for holiday set-up, service and take down schedules

5. Completes assigned paperwork and phone work correctly and on time.
6. Communicates fixtures issues promptly to supervisor

7. Follows appropriate work schedule and calls on assigned accounts. Reports weekly work time as designated by Supervisor. Recharges scanner/transmits data as directed.

8. Communicates with supervisor regularly regarding changes or problems in the department, competitive activity in the department, or changes in store operations.

9. Participates in revisions and new installations as directed.

10. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

11. Conforms to AG policies including all safety directives. Follows Chain and store policies/procedures as they affect the merchandising of the greeting card department and in matters of store security.
12. May be assigned company property or equipment to perform certain task; required to return company property upon separation of employment.
Repetitively lifts (up to 50 lbs), stands, stoops, carries, bends, pushes, precisely manipulates single and groups of AG product, removes cello wrap, walks, maneuvers carts, opens cartons and uses a hand-held scanner or PDA device. Retrieves and acts on communications from headquarters or management; reads directions/diagrams in English and correctly executes programs at store level.

I wish to be paid in gold bullion, is that an issue? If not gold, ammunition would suffice.
Will there be an objection to me carrying my side arm in the execution of my duties?

Oh... If the customers are unruly and discourteous, can I rain down upon them with furious vengeance? That would rock. Almost as much as last weeks weather
