Hi all. I just found out about this cemetery. How far from Parkersburg would you say the cemetery is? I will be in WV for a week and might try and find the cemetery.

Thanks,
Corine Hardman

Just an estimate, I'll say it's very close to 40 miles if you use Route 47. I know it's 30 miles from Parkersburg to Macfarlan, and Smithville is just a little farther east from there on Rt.47. Smithville is at the intersection of Rts. 47 and 16.

Default Thank you so very much!

Your directions were spot on! I happened to see this post before heading out again today to find this cemetery. I drove right to it like there was a homing beacon at the top of the spire. So many miles and hours finding my family paid off today. Thank you and God bless you, cousin for being there for me and all the others!

If you ask a question you should probably take the time to return yourself to see if it's answered, not expect others to reply outside the forum.

Paw paw tree's are all over. I do not know of any specific to the cemetery in question (I do know where the cemetery is) but just in passing. There is a fairly small window in the fall to pick them. The deer will make short work of them where they can reach them or when they fall.

Ask around........I'm sure someone knows where one is. I'm sure some that know where they are will tell you they do not also. LOL There is one about 5 minutes from my house but I don't point it out to anyone. The deer get most of them.

Or you could cheat and try one the easy way.
