This information regarding the Capitol Theatre is incorrect: The Wheeling Jamboree was at the Capitol Theatre for a total of 36 years combined. The program was held at many other venues in and around the city. See the official Wheeling Jamboree website history page for details. WheelingJamboree.org

What's incorrect. Nobody said it wasn't held at other venues too. It was mainly held at the historic Capitol though. The Capitol is a beautiful venue, but it will take a lot of work to bring it up to fire code standards. Now, they need to put some night life in the area to compliment the theater and make Wheeling the outstanding destination it was once.

Specifically the incorrect text reads "Capitol Music Hall in downtown Wheeling, home of the WWVA Jamboree for nearly 3/4ths of a century". That is what is incorrect, as the Jamboree was NOT there 75 years.

It is awaiting approval of the Feds but the two are merging.
