i'm looking into buying a cabin located on the border of Kumbrabow State Forest. the reply i received from the agent says that the access road to the cabin will be the road for Elkwater Lake which is under construction now. Does anybody have any idea exactly where this is? I guess I want to know if my house will end up under water....not funny.

Here's a little history..........
i bought a beautiful cabin last year in Clay County and 8 days (yes that's right folks, a mere 8 days) after i closed the sale it got hit by lightening and burnt slam to the ground. I truly didn't understand gone until i saw the pictures. OH MY GOD!! Absolutely NOTHING was left. I didn't have enough insurance, so i can't rebuild ...so...now i have a vacant lot (4.46 acres) that's cleared, has a well, electric, septic, footings, everything but the house.
i will completely lose it ( )if something just as unbelievable should happen again... like this one purposely being flooded out! i know they do that - Summersville Lake has a town at the bottom!!
Please let me know as quickly as you can if you have any information.
thanks.

Default info needed on upcoming Elkwater Lake

I do not have any information on the new Elkwater Lake, but are you interested in selling your land in Clay County?
