Does anyone know what is going on with Georgia Boy Cafe.I know it was closed down by the health dept. over a month ago but now for the last 2 weeks there is some remodeling going on.I was just wondering if there is a new owner or new business moving in?

I work near that location and heard they are moving the restaurant to Hagerstown. From what I heard they will continue to have a catering business in Martinsburg at another location.

Default Update

I drive by almost everyday on my way home from work and just a little while ago i stopped and spoke to a worker and although he was hesitant about answering my questions he did say taht the previous owner never cleaned and it was obvious. He also said that he believes a Mexican restaurant may take over the location.

Georgia Boy's had awesome Fried Chicken. Right now the only option in that immediate area for lunch is Subway. The Subway by the VA is ran like military, very clean, but the owner is somewhat moody.

Of course there are plenty of lunch options 5 minutes down the road in Martinsburg and 15 minutes in Ranson.

Default Could this property have a curse on it?

To me, Mexican food and sour creme go hand-in-hand.
Works really great for the super spicy foods too. You can't always tell how spicy it is when you do it that way, until like 2 in the morning and you're reaching for a Pepcid

Last time we went Anita's when it was a Mexican restaurant, they ran out of sour creme ah, the horrors of it all. Too bad I didn't know that before I went in to eat 'cuz I probably would have turned right around.
I'm surprised they don't sell little packet s of sour creme like they do peanut butter or ranch dressing. Come to think of it, I probably would have been somewhat ok if I could have used a bit of ranch dressing even.
Good luck to the *NEW* owner/s.
Anyone want to start a pool to see if this will last for more than a year?
