Anyone have any tips or suggestions about cable/internet in KV? All I know so far is that Suddenlink is probably the big kahuna, and will probably charge me too much for a "package" that includes a lot of stuff I don't need or want, but it's impossible to get specific information without calling a salesperson. I even went to their office down at the Town Center Mall, and found that they have a ton of slick, glossy, and completely useless pamphlets and not one shred of useful information, just a sign that says "take a number and sit".

Then, there are phone companies like Citynet and Fibernet, that have no TV, but do have dial-up internet, which, I assume, sucks. Any other options?

Verizon phone co offers DSL.
The may be bought by Frontier so not sure how the service will be after that.

People I've talked to are happy with Verizon DSL but in my opinion, nothing beats cable.

I'm paying a fortune to Suddenlink. Son is in MoTown with Comcast - it appears he has a lot more premium (movie) channels for less $$ than I am paying to Suddenlink but we have not compared all the channels we get. To get one channel in a package - I have a zillion channels NO one has EVER watched.

WHat's the cost for the Verizon bundle? I'm currently getting internet via my cell, but I need to get a package that includes TV/internet/phone. In Virginia BEach, we had Cox cable and that was $150/mo for 5Mbps internet/land line phone/ and cable TV. As with VEC, we had tons of channels, but only watched a handful. I wish there was an option where you could pick any 100 channels for a flat rate. That would eliminate all the junk we never watch.
