The only flag we fly at our place is the "House Divided" Flag. Representing the house being torn between a WVU and a Marshall fan.

Fly they all tomorrow, veterans day, in honor of not having to speak the kings English or German or Russian or Japanese.

I've seen the confederate bumper stickers (or just plain stickers) and the flag quite often. But maybe it's just that I notice it more, being that I grew up a Yankee and became a Northern traitor, lol.

Well I don't perceive any war. Everyone around here knows my husband and I are from NJ, and we've never gotten treated with anything but kindness.

Lincoln's shredding of the Constitution to preserve “unity” was treason. States had and still have the right to succeed.

The individuals who fly the "stars and Bars" are they making this statement. Or another more sinister statement such as oppression?

Yes, our neighbor, just across the Ritchie county line, has the Rebel flag painted on one whole side of his covered bridge.

That statement is true using succeed or secede. The desire for one will justify the other.

At our place, we are flying Old Glory, WV state flag, and a Navy signal flag.
