Advertisements

Always keep my work gloves and coveralls in the truck. Had I known, had I known..

No thanks on the pooches- we're down to two from a recent high of 4. At one point we had two basenjis, a bluetick and a boxer. Now just an old bluetick and one basenji (afflicted with attention deficit disorder, lol)

My advice? Don't advertise as 'free puppies'. No one will take them. Instead put a sign on the road, preferably near the resort that says 'Amish puppies 4 sale- $25', because as everyone knows if you put the word 'Amish' in your advertisement it must be good.

And if it looks like they're not going to buy, have Billy Mays jump out from behind a tree and say "But wait, there's MORE!!! Buy one puppy today for $25, and we'll give you a second puppy FREE!!!"

Just thought I'd "revive" this thread to see if anyone has any input on the PGA Tour week at the Greenbrier. So far, it looks to be well attended...even though Phil and Tiger are not participating. I saw on the news that Mr. Justice is offering a million dollars for each hole in one on hole # 18. They are playing on the course at The Old White...should be some very low scores.
The place is "crawling" with celebrities..just like a few weeks ago when the Casino opened..no expense spared...hope it's a successful venture for all.
Is anyone planning to see the tournament? If so let us know how it goes...we'll be watching.

The Greenbrier and the Old White course look so beautiful on TV (and ,more so in person)! This will be a wonderful weekend for people to see just what beauty West Virginia has to offer. Great for travel and tourism.

This article appeared in the New York Times last week, a friend brought my attention to it. Hope the new owner can pull it together.

Thanks, Bobilee...this was a nice article and beautiful pics. I hope that Mr. Justice can make a go of it as well...if only it were a bit more affordable, making a visit available to more folks.
