What's an elitist? I own a home about 1/2 hour from New Haven, CT and have met my share of elitists. I used to be married to an elitist, so I think I know a little about them.

Tell me something, when was the last time a Rockefeller, any Rockefeller went to a public university, or even a public high school? Or a Kennedy? When was the last time anyone from one of those families got their hands dirty performing a job? When did any of them have to worry about paying their bills, or for their kids education? In fact, when did any of them pay any taxes (they always make loopholes for themselves)?

They almost never "marry out". My ex-wife was an exception, and she paid dearly in that community for doing so. You don't think there are elitists? You are blind.

Marry Out!!!!

The genealogy of these families rivals the royal families of Europe...all from the same pot.

and that's part of the problem...genetic breakdown to keep that big money intact.

About 10 'robber barron familes interwoven for the past 100 years.

And they talk about incest in Wv. ha ha ha

You are "spot on". They consider themselves a special class unto themselves,
and above the rest of us. And, although our constitution makes "classes"
illegal, it doesn't alter their fundamental belief in them. Nowhere is this more
evident than "East of the Blue Ridge" among the old English ethnic families
(carryovers from the old planter "class"), in the rural carolinas and rural New
England. I'm not saying they're bad people, but they are definitely not well
connected to the rest of us and they tend to look on all of us an intrinsically
inferior. They consider it their inherited "right" to rule, and they use their
financial advantage to insure that they can do just that... in government and
in industry.

The Rockefellers (multi billionaires) have actually essentially bought three
different states (political control of them)... New York, West Virginia, and
Arkansas, the latter two for their energy stake.
