Only 7 inches so far in Reston, VA, near Dulles International Airport. Very unimpressed. This transplant from the Poconos can't believe y'all would consider an 8-12 inch snowfall "epic." This ain't nothin' but a dustin'!

Hey Megan! How's it going? Haven't heard from you in a while, last time I recall seeing a pic of a truck and trailer loaded with all your worldly goods. Other than missing the snow, are you getting settled in Randolph County OK?

I thought the Governor of VA had declared a state of emergency there.

I've stopped counting inches.

I hooked up an old snow blade to my 1972 Cub Cadet and it's doing a decent job of pushing it. But then of course I can drive through the crap with my 3/4 ton truck, lol.

I put an extra log on the fire and tied the brandy cask to 'old Ralph's neck...if the neighbors get lost they can phone him direct...time for a nap...

How I love a snow storm...forced R & R...

Closing in on two feet soon in Fairfax County, and it's still coming down. I'm eating crow from this morning, but the more the better! Maybe if we hit 30" I'll have a snow day on Monday?

My brother called from Crab Orchard (Beckley area) and said there's close to 3 feet in some spots around him. He got stuck in traffic last night for 3 1/2 hours trying to get home when he had to go pick up his daughter at work. Her tiny car got stuck and he had to get her in his 4wd truck. They still have electricity, though.

My Sister and Mother still live in the Charleston area and around 2pm I think they said it was still hovering in the 6-8" range there. We had rain all day in Atlanta yesterday, and not a flake of snow. Drizzle today. We're at around 72 inches of rain for this year so far, nearly breaking all records for water. No snow at all this year though - we usually don't get any but if we do, it's 1-2 inches once, maybe in late January or so unless a short freak storm comes through.
