It’s getting closer to our big move to Elizabeth, WV this spring. I can hardly wait as can my wife’s family. It’s been 30 years since my wife has lived in WV, (I have lived in St. Louis all of my 54 years), although we have gone back for visits every year since. The nice thing about moving there is that we have family there unlike moving to a new place and not knowing anybody. My wife has 3 sisters and 1 brother plus our daughter and grandchildren are all there.
February we are going down to scout around for places to live. Don’t know if it will be Elizabeth or somewhere nearby. Wish us luck…………

The days will begin getting longer on Tuesday...I'll cross my fingers for you all...Welcome Home, Brother.

Spring awakens on the 3rd week of February...just around the corner..plan on some spring trout fishing.

That's a good way to begin it all...rushing pure water and ice still on the edges.

Lets us know why we are alive...

Good luck, Tom. And don't forget to come back and visit us, once you get moved in.

I'll be heading out that way shortly to see the scenery and the snow. Have a farm out that way and some day will be moving there myself. I think they got the power back on at 5:30pm yesterday.

Elizabeth is true small town living, but a mile outside of town it's the middle of nowhere. Nice and quiet too.

Mind your speed, 4mph over gets you ticketed. Give me a shout if I can help at all.

David, all ready have plans to head up to Elkins this spring for some trout fishing.
Two-Rivers, my daughter said her electric came back on around 6 too. She lives off of Rte 47 in Walker. I know by the school they love to give out tickets.

Jake is from Elizabeth, It's a cute little town. We always get bored there when we go up to see his parents so we walk around town. I kept asking him if its all just an illusion because everything seems so fake. I'm say, "are you sure this isn't like a movie set or something." It's just a random little town in the middle of no where but it's only a short drive to Parkersburg's southside so it's not bad at all if you're looking for peace and quiet.

I'm from Elkins, are you heading to Shavers Fork at Bowden for the fishing or some little unknown stream?

Motom sounds like you've lived here most of your life. A very good sign, you don't need any luck. Welcome.

Not trying to scare you off MoTom, this is probably the first shooting at Elizabeth in...100 years?
