would i need to purchase land before contacting this company, or do they help find the land suitable for their home?

Sorry didn't see this before. We bought our land first and then went and decided on Foremost. While it does take some work doing the basics yourself it is rewarding IMO. I decided where to put the foundation (block w/4' crawlspace) and talked with someone on where to put septic field, well, etc. Basically I was the contractor and sub-contracted what I couldn't do. I rented a dozer to dig the foundation and clear property. Later I rented a tractor to level the rest of the yard and prep for grass, punch holes for fence, etc.

We went with a construction loan that was rolled into a first time home buyers mortgage.

If you are anywhere near them go and look at those houses, you WILL NOT be disappointed.
