I'm sure your general allergies exist in WV...

But how about RAGWEED POLLEN in particular...it is generally in the AUTUMN (NOT spring). So ragweed sufferers get it in August, September in particular.

Any ragweed pollen sufferers get it bad in WV that time of year (AUTUMN)?

(I'm stressing Autumn, because so many associate allergies with springtime and hay fever, which is different - doesn't affect me at all that time of year either ).

It used to bother me off and on but when I reached my mid 40's, asthma and nasal allergies became almost unbearable for me. I went to an allergist and did all the testing and got on the right meds for it. Ragweed was the worst for me. Nasonex nose spray all but eliminated my allergy symptoms. I get an occasional flare up when it's at it's peak in the fall but nothing like I used to. This past fall I started using a generic equivalent and works just as well.

It's not as bad here as growing up in Wisconsin. Back there, my allergies to ragweed were real, real, real bad. Here is WV, it's less than a quarter as bad. I guess it depends on how sensitive you are, or how much ragweed exists here compared to another location.

Wonder if the mountains have something to do with that...

Seems like Wisconsin might have more flat open fields with weeds and winds blowing the pollen far and wide. Maybe the mountains slows that down...regardless, either way, nice to know that for you, WV is about a quarter as bad as WI!
