Okay, I agree Hurricane is a good place to raise a family. I don't want to get into the problems I had with the City Manager.[ its rather personal] I can tell you this if you have a dispute and the City Manager gets involved it will be their way or the highway. So it was the highway for me. Sorry for the late response.

I would certainly say you could not go wrong with either Barboursville or Hurricane. I can speak more of Barboursville since I lived there for about 10 years. It is a nice little town and has great schools. It is actually a growing area and quite busy. And though I've not lived in Hurricane, from what I've seen of it and heard from friends who live there, it is great as well. I think either of those would be great for you. Good luck with everything...let us know how it all works out.

Cabell Midland is probably the best high school in the area, outside of St. Joe (a very small Catholic school...what few sports programs it has are good, but it doesn't have football or track). I didn't know too many students there growing up, but the graduates I have met since then I've been very impressed with. Hurricane is a very nice area, it's growing really fast and seems to be a nice place for families. I don't know anything about their high school, though.
