Am pretty sure there is a disc course in nearby Fairmont..at Morris Park.

Excuse my ignorance, but I've never heard of disk golf.

Is it like a cross between regular golf and frisbee?

snorpus, yes, that's the idea. The disc goes into a sort of basket at each "hole". it moves along very quickly...unlike traditional golf. I believe they even have tournaments of sorts. H aven't played it myself but, read about it in the newspaper.
