Hastings-on-Hudson Furniture (Rye, Greenwich: sales, apartment, big house)

We will be moving to hastings next month. we currently live in a 2 bdr apartment and we will be moving to a big house. So we will need furniture. Where could be get good quality used furniture? We don't ant to spend a lot of money.

Ummm, not in Hastings. Westchester really doesn't have any place to buy used furniture, as far as I am aware. That's more prevalent in the boroughs.

If you're handy, you might want to try Ikea -- which is cheaper than used, with no chance of bedbugs. You have to carry it yourself and put it together yourself. But I furnished a whole house with modern looking stuff for like $3500. It's not great quality but I'd rather have OK looking furniture +15k in my pocket.

I've had great luck on craigslist as well as tag sales in Rye and Greenwich.
