Currently have a 2.5 year old and would like to send him to some sort of pre-school/nursery school in the fall when he'll be 3.

Would prefer to stay within White Plains, but can go a bit outside if something looks really good.

Thanks for any thoughts!

I know a couple of people who send/sent their kids here and they're very happy: The Early Childhood Center: Memorial United Methodist Church

Both of my children when to the Early Childhood Center at United Memorial Methodist Church on Bryant Ave. in WP. What a wonderful school! I think I miss it more than my kids! The teachers are very caring and great at what they do. The logistics of the school are unusual in that the playground is located between the school and the parking lot. Because of this, parents and their children linger there after school is over and allow their children additional play time with each other. This fosters additional friendships for the children and parents. I highly recommend it.

Regarding the ECC, is it religious, or is it just a pre-school that happens be held in a Church?

Also, does anyone have any thoughts on the following:

Elmwood Day School
Mohawk Day School
Kol Ami, Early Childhood Program (http://www.nykolami.org/study/ecp/ - broken link)

Thanks!

It is not religious, just in a building owned by the church.
