These photos were so helpful as we try to refine our search for what area to re-locate to. Thank you so much for posting! Would you say that West Harrison is similar in look and feel?

I never heard or been to West Harrison , so I wouldn't know. This area is what most of the older middle Class sections of Westchester and most of the Tri-state area look like.

No these pictures aren't exactly West Harrison. The pics where your up a little higher in the hills are close to WH, but for the most part its still White Plains just a little on the border of WH/silver lake/N. White Plains.

As for what West Harrison looks like, yes its similar to some pictures in this thread but a much smaller community.

Picture 4,6,8,9,10 are most representative of West Harrison / Silver Lake. I don't think West Harrison / Silver Lake has many of the older homes, or larger lots from some of the other pictures. They do have Pilone's though, which shouldn't be underestimated!!!

maybe i'm confused but those pictures look like the border between white plains and north white plains/west harrison.

When you say east white plains, I think of mamoreneck ave, bryant, north st. What you have pictured in my opinion is not east white plains, it is north white plains/west harrison border.

East WP refers to the area east of 287 over by Lake Street and Delfino Park that borders West Harrison. Type East White Plains, NY in to Google Maps. Definately a rarely used term. Also misleading, since the area you mentioned is further east!
