Ha, Chappaqua only 10% Jewish? And Scarsdale is 90% Muslim.
They may not be practicing, but I can assure you that Chappaqua is NOT 80% Christian. Not that there is anything wrong with that....
I'm giving you the #s based on tacit proof, meaning temples.
I'm not Muslim (just in case anyone here thinks my opinion is biased, I'm Catholic actually) and I've never, ever, ever seen anyone wearing a yamakah and, during Christmas, you hardly see minorahs so... either Jews here are really hardcore non-practicing Jews or I must be blind.
As I hear it, Chappaqua is dominated by Jews who say they are not religious.
That's news to me. All the neighbors on my street are Christian.
I really do not know where that Chappaqua is "dominated" by Jews story comes from but... I can only attest for what I see with my own eyes, and if that is true, namely that Chappaqua is "dominated" by Jews, then I need some really thick glasses.
So do you really think that they are distributed evenly across the entire county??? I guess that means that 10% of the population of any town in Westchester must be Jewish. Can't be more than that because I don't see people wearing yarmulkes and because that article says so.

No buddy, obviously not...
I'm not saying that they are evenly distributed accross the county, you are. I am saying that that the Glenmary Research Center, via WikiPedia, states that Westchester's Jewish population is 10.2% of the total population. In Chappaqua we have 8 Christian temples and 1 sinagogue, which works out to (roughly) 12.5% of all temples. So all in all the real percentage, judging by both, temples and what the Glenmary Research Center report says, should be between 10 and 13%.
I seriously doubt the Jewish population of Chappaqua is more than 20% of the total population.
I doubt you have "8 Christian temples". The term "temple" is not used in most branches of Christianity.
I'm not arguing with you, I am informing you there are 8 churches (or Christian temples) in the area.
Not trying to be sarcastic or insulting.
