Hi,

My husband and I are looking for a good place in the Mamaroneck/Larchmont area that has great burgers and fries! Any recommendations??

Also, will take any other restaurant rec's in the area. We just moved from the city and enjoy going out to dinner on the weekends.

Thanks!!

Good restaurants in your area include:
Zitoune - morroccan
La Scarbita - Italian
Red Plum - thai/japanese fusion
Frankie & Fanuccis - easy-dining pizza and pasta place

As for a good burger joint, I'm afraid I can't help. I'd like to be informed myself!

LT, the Larchmont Tavern on Chatsworth Ave in Larchmont. Home - Larchmont Tavern

If you're in the mood for diner food in Mamaroneck, try the Nautilus Diner on the Post Rd. near Mamaroneck High School. The Nautilus Diner - Mamaroneck, NY

For a more upscale setting, try Molly Spillane's on Mamaroneck Ave in Mamaroneck. MOLLY SPILLANES { WELCOME TO MOLLY SPILLAINES }

Best burger in Westchester is at the Piper's Kilt on NY 22 in Eastchester. Fogerty's in Bronxville is good and Blazer Pub in Purdys is good too. I also like Candlelight on NY 100 in Scarsdale, Ruby's on Purchase St in Rye and Lexington Cafe in Mt. Kisco. Ginger Man on Greenwich Ave in Greenwich is good too.
We drove to Manhattan last Sunday for JG Melon's burger.

Piper's Kilt in Eastchester. It's about 10 minutes from the intersection of Weaver Street and Quaker Ridge Road. The classic bar in the front and the restauarant in the back.

AJ's burgers on north avenue in New Rochelle. Parking can be tough. They have Great burgers, they also have lots of other items on their menu. Never been disappointed.

Cafe Mozart is a really good burger place, right on Mamaroneck Ave.

No way, man. That place sucks. Okay, doesn't suck, but it's for coffee and lunchy sandwiches and stuff. Not burgers.

Interesting. I read several recommendations which sparked my curiosity and I decided to drive there.
Conclusion: nothing to write home about. Simple and plain, tiny dishes and a limited menu. I thought maybe it was a bad night and gave them another try. Same thing. I really don't get what the fuss is about.
