We have just spent our first year in our house and wondered what is the tipping procedure for Post man and Garbage man ?? I never see the garbage guy but he does a good job - 2 collections per week and the post guy always brings parcels to the house and we have used the mail hold service a lot..... any suggestions please post or mail me would be appreciated.....

I love going to places that tell you how much tip which my hairdresser does... makes life so much easier !!!

$20 bucks each is fine. Maybe a little more for the mailman if there's no chance he's retiring in the next 60 days.

How do you tip them if you do not see them? Do I tape envelopes to my mailbox and my garbage cans? What do people do?

I taped an envelope to the garbage bin and then left the one for the postman in the box with his name and the postman written on it !
