Hi, Did you get any response for your question? YWCA offers summer camp programs and I'm considering it for my 6-and 4-yr olds. I can't seem to find any reviews on the program. Would appreciate it if anyone can share their experiences or what they've heard about the place.
I can tell you from experience as being a child using both Y's (in the 90's) that they're good places for children/after school programs. I still have relatives who are of school age who use the Y on Mamaroneck ave and I can't say any bad things about it. I think they may be a bit overpriced for what they're offering but it's a good place for your kids to meet other children who live in the community that may not attend public schools etc.
My son attends preschool at the YWCA. I am so happy with the program and the staff - they are very supportative, kind and loving. Although I have only observed the children in the daycare program as they pass through the halls, the interactions with the staff and the children are wonderful as well. I plan on having my children utilize the YWCA's preschool and summer camp programs throughout the preschool years. The Children's Learning Center is in the process of becoming an accrediated NAEYC program. In my opinion - you can't go wrong with the YWCA.
