My home's utility bill from Con ed this winter was about a 350 average, most of it being gas to heat the place up.

The home is most likely not insulated in the best way possible but I'm looking into possibly making a move to a energy company that could provide some saving.

I get a lot of marketing stuff in the mail but I wanted to get some reviews from the good people on here.. Any suggestions?

Better bet is to spend on insulation and an efficient furnace. Changing gas companies won't make much of a difference. Plus if you ever have a problem Con Ed is there before you hang up the phone.

Default Pellet Stove?

I am not sure if you own or not, but we went to these folks last winter and had them install a couple of wood burning pellet stoves in our house. They, supposedly, cut down on gas cost (we have our temperature gauge set very low at all times) and they sure are pretty to look at...I only say "supposedly" as I haven't done the math as far as coned vs cost of pellet stove vs cost of wood pellets.....
