Lots of trees came down in Briarcliff Manor, and the power's been out since yesterday. The downtown business district is okay--stores are open and there are no power outages there. So lots of people have been getting news from those businesses. Some people are getting news from their car radios and contacting family and friends via cell phone, which they're charging in their cars.

Larchmont is still largely without power. And we have tons of trees down. I went to the Stop and Shop in New Rochelle yesterday - no ice, very little bottled water and the only milk left was condensed...
The word on the street (literally, since that's the way most of us are getting our news these days!) is that it could be 7-10 days before full restoration of power in the area. My guess is co-ed is concentrating its resources on NYC first.
