Hi- We are moving to Westchester from Queens and are unfamiliar with shopping in Westchester. We are moving to lower Westchester but would like opinions for all of Westchester:

1) What are some good furniture stores (reasonably priced but good quality)?

2) Which is the best discount club- Sam's, Costco, or BJs?

Thanks!

Costco is in Port Chester, I'm not sure about the other ones.

We bought our couch and desk at Macy's Furniture, but out in NJ and just had it delivered. We also bought our dining table and dresser at Bob's... it was a good deal. There's a location in Hartsdale. We also have bought a few items at HomeGoods (Port Chester and White Plains), Target (White Plains / Stamford) and at IKEA (closest is New Haven).

We didn't really like any of the other furniture places because a lot of it was either too expensive or too formal for our tastes.

1) Search the forums, there are some good threads about that. I think that in summary, you'll find furniture stores are very expensive here and people either go to Ikea or Bob's. And they probably aren't completely satisfied with either.

2) I don't think people go to what they consider the best discount club. They go to whichever is closer. For me that is Sams and I am happy with it. I would be happy with costco and BJs as well.
