I'm married and was born and raised in Putnam/Northern Westchester area. If you are young and single why not spend a year or two down in the city, kill some time, waste some money, get it out of your system. Once you say I do and want to start a family of your own then NYC would not have much purpose.

why dont you party up in manhattan on Friday and Saturdays? commute is not that bad! its close so living in Westchester is cool by my because its less expensive.
