What can anyone tellme about living there? Looks pretty. Is it expensive? What's crime rate? How far to Manhattan? What would a commute to city be like? Any natural/organic foods available?

I think the term "inexpensive" is relative. If you compare it to other Westchester communities, yes, it will be less expensive to live there. It is very close to the Cortlandt Train station, where you can catch locals and express trains. See link provided for station info:

MNR Stations

Slightly north of there, you can go the the farmers market in Peekskill to purchase some locally grown items. See link...

I hope thats helps alittle......

True, expensive is a relative term. Depends on your budget and what you expect to get for that budget.

Taking Metro North train , if you can get a through train, it's just about an hour to Grand Central Station from the Cortlandt station. But don't forget to figure in your time from your home to the station, wait for the train and your time from GCS to your office. Essentially, could be an hour and a half each way or more. Up to you if think it is worth it.
