Hello all,
I am a 23 year old male, I just got a job in Medical Sales and my territory is Westchester County. I am unfamiliar with the area and am looking for advice on where a 23 year old single male would be comfortable living. I am looking for an area with fun night life for a young professional of my age, not intense like NYC but it is important that I live in an area where I won't get bored. I prefer nature but wouldn't mind an urban environment. Lving expense isn't a huge issue, location isn't one either. I have no office and will be traveling back and forth between all of the hospitals in the area. With that said, I would imagine traffic is going to be awful no matter where I am.

Any help/advice would be helpful. Thanks!!!!

If not the city then I second the White Plains recommendation. Nature's closde enough to get to with a short drive.

White Plains works, or thereabouts (Hartsdale would probably be fine - there are a lot of apartment complexes there). New Rochelle might be good, as it's rather large. A lot of people like Tarrytown, too.

I think White Plains is your best bet. Hartsdale is also okay, many appartments near it, it has good restaurants, but no bars within walking distance of the train station. Tarrytown is okay with the music hall & has some restaurants, but is far from the Manhattan scene. It's a lovely town. New Rochelle can be lively at night too.

I agree White Plains is a pretty good bet in terms of things to do. Also look into Pleasantville/Mt Kisco they have smaller downtown areas but offer more in terms of outdoor activities.

NYC. Do not live in White Plains or Westchester if you are single.
But, if you're in a serious relationship, you can save a lot of money here if you buy an apt.

If the OP is in medical sales, he probably needs a car. Parking in NYC? Not worth it. Take the train down on the weekends and have fun, but stick to living where it makes sense for your job. NYC is NOT the answer to all life's problems. Sheesh.
