I just moved from Rye. It is so nice there I really loved it. It is also near the water. You also have Rye beach. The town is very quaint and alot of good places to eat. The people in Rye are very nice. Rye Schools are really good! The commute into the city from here is really easy also. The homes may be on the more expensive end. I think you should check it out!

I'm in the same situation and know exactly what you are looking for. Where did you end up? What did you discover?

We were originally looking on LI in the spring and I remember seeing GCGuy all over that board, so he may never have made it to Westchester.

Curious why...

I know a ton of people from GC and if you're looking for something similar, i.e. a town with a lot of upper income people who like to hang out only with each other and get in each others business, you'd like Bronxville.

If you're looking for something that fits what you said you were looking for, Irvington is perfect for you. On the water, nice village, good schools, has a train station.

What about Bronxville? I hear its a really nice affluent village with fabulous public schools?
