Hello. I am searching for a very inexpensive studio apartment (preferably under $500) in the New Rochelle High School district. The studio apartment does not need to be comfortable (or even livable) at all - in fact, the cheaper and poorer, the better. I need something affordable, no matter how poor the area and place. One room is all I need. I know that there are apartments in New Rochelle that are that cheap, but it is difficult to find them. Please tell me the cheapest you know of. Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Wow I've never heard of anyone desperate to get their kid into the New Rochelle school disctrict. Am I missing something?

That price range is absurdly low. Even if you were slumming it, you'd be hard pressed to find anything in the NYC area for $500. If you shared an apartment then perhaps you could split the rent and end up with it costing you $500.

My kid has been forced to leave good friends and he's been very depressed since we moved. We're living in a nearby city, and have pulled him out of the local public school for a number of reasons. We considered putting him in a private school, but we're thinking that if we're willing to pay for a new private school, we can pay rent for an inexpensive apartment within the school district. He really misses his friends and he used to be the top student in his classes (would now be in some honors classes as well), so we feel he deserves the chance to go back if it's possible, but we're a little bit money tight right now. We're looking for a cheap place we can say is our address.

Like you I'm looking for an apt in new rochelle-so that I can get my son
in the new rochelle high school, but I'm not that desperate. I'm looking for
a 2 bedroom apt and the max I can afford is $1250. but for a comfortable
place.
