Congestion Wars : NYC Metro Area (Nassau, Rockland: ranking, county, top)

Hello everyone,

I got into a debate with someone a while ago about the order of the regions of the NYC metro area by traffic congestion. The combatants are:

Nassau County
Westchester County
Rockland County
Fairfield County (CT)
Northern NJ (Bergen, Passaic, Essex, etc)

Here's my ranking:

Nassau
NNJ
Westchester
Rockland
Fairfield

Any insight?

Not even close.

Assuming you are leaving out the 5 boroughs
Nassau
NNJ
Fairfield
Then far behind are

Westchester
Rockland

Try driving on 95 in CT on a summer Saturday. Try the southern state on same.

You're forgetting the one highway that is like on the top 5 list every year for worst highways for traffic, if not, top 2.... The Cross-Bronx/I-95. By far the WORST! So I would think you need to throw the Bronx on the top of that list.
