We are just starting our house search and will consider White Plains as an option. So we know what we are getting into, what are considered the nicest, most residential areas of White Plains? We are not considering living downtown.
The highlands section is great - feels like a neighborhood in some of westchester's smaller, high-end towns, not city living, but very convenient to shops of MMK ave.
Depends what you're looking for. Gedney Farms is considered one of the nicest areas - but older homes. Lots of old Tudors, etc. Highlands also nice, family oriented, but smaller plots. Rosedale area is also nice with some newer homes.
